Ester Gurevich — Artista plástico y Ilustradora de libros judío-argentina/Argentine-Jewish Artist and Book Illustrator

Ester Gurevich, nació en Buenos Aires. Se formó con el maestro Battle Planes, en su Instituto de Investigación de la Forma, estudió Psicología de la Forma y Simbología y comienza a trabajar en Investigación. De 1971 a 1976, participa en congresos de Semiótica y Psicoanálisis, escribiendo sobre Comunicación Visual en Italia, Venezuela y Francia. En 1983 dicta seminarios sobre Creatividad en el Centro Cultural San Martín. En 1983-1987, se desempeña en la Secretaría de la Cultura de la Nación, en el área de plástica.

Expone desde 1968, algunas de sus muestras tuvieron lugar en: Galería Lindsey, Galería Van Riel, Museo Damazo Arce, Museo de Arte Moderno, Museo Siborí, Galería Praxis, Centro Recoleta y Galería Lisemberg. También ha tenido exposiciones en Brasil, EEUU, Ecuador, Ucrania, Francia, España, Canadá, Uruguay.

Desde 1984, Ester Gurevich se desempeña a la edición de libros y carpetas ilustrados, entre ellos: : Los caminos de Borges, La Kabalá, mitos y símbolos, El cantar de los cantares, La caja del amor y Érase una vez Sefarad .Además, ilustra libros para niños.

Ester Gurevich was born in Buenos Aires. she began her formation as an artist with Maestro Battle Planes, in his Institute for the Investigation of Form. She studied Psychology of Form and Symbology, and she and began to do research. From 1971 to 1976, she participated in congresses about Semiotics and Psychoanalysis, writing about Visual Communication in Italia, Venezuela y France. In 1983, she taught seminars on Creativity at the San Martín Cultural Center in Buenos Aires. In In 1983-84, she worked in the National Cultural Secretariat in the area of visual arts.

Gurevitz has exhibited her art work sincen1 968. Some of those exhibits took place in the Lindsey Gallery, the Van Riel Gallery, the Damazo Arce Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, the Siborí Museum, the Praxis Gallery, the Recoleta Center and the Lisemberg Gallery. She has held shows in Brazil, the United States, Ecuador, Ukraine, France, Spain, Canada and Uruguay.

Since 1984, Ester Gurevich has dedicated he efforts to the editing of books and illustrated folders, among them: Los caminos de Borges, La Kabalá, mitos y símbolos, El cantar de los cantares, La caja del amor y Érase una vez Sefarad. She also illustrates children’s books.
